Quick Thinker

August 29th, 2008 by Co-Worker

Old men may walk slow, BUT think F A S T

An elderly man in Queensland had owned a large property for several years. He had a dam in one of the lower paddocks where he had planted mango and avocado trees. The dam had been fixed up for swimming when it was built and he also had some picnic tables placed there in the shade of the fruit trees.

One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the dam to look it over, as he hadn’t been there for a while. He grabbed a ten litre bucket to bring back some fruit. As he neared the dam, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his dam. He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end.

One of the women shouted to him, ‘We’re not coming out until you leave!’ The old man frowned, ‘I didn’t come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the dam naked.’

Holding the bucket up he said, ‘I’m here to feed the crocodile.’

God’s Pharmacy

August 20th, 2008 by Co-Worker

GOD’S PHARMACY
My niece emailed this. It’s been said that God first separated the salt water from the fresh, made dry land, planted a garden, made animals and fish… all before making a human. He made and provided what we’d need before we were born. These are best & more powerful when eaten raw. We’re such slow learners..

God left us a great clue as to what foods help what part of our body!
God’s Pharmacy! Amazing!
Carrot ImageA sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye… and YES, science now shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.
Tomato ImageA Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and is red. All of the research shows tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.
Grape ImageGrapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today sh ow s grape s are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.
Walnut ImageA Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums.
Even the wrinkles or folds on the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help develop more than three (3) dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.
Kidney BeansKidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.
Celery Stalk ImageCelery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and many more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don’t have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.
Avacadoe Image
Avocadoes, Eggplant and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female – they look just like these organs. Today’s research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? It takes exactly nine (9) months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (mo dern science has only studied and named about 141 of them)
Fig Image Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm as well to overcome male sterility.
Sweet Potatoe image
Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic
index of diabetics.
OlivesOlives assist the health and function of the ovaries
Oranges Image
Oranges, Grapefruits, and other Citrus fruits look just like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.
Onion ImageOnions look like the body’s cells. Today’s research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, Garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.

Fish and chips every day!

August 14th, 2008 by Co-Worker

For a man recovering from a near-fatal heart attack, it might not seem the ideal recovery plan. But a daily dose of fish and chips has worked wonders for 71-year-old Ermis Nicholas.

He has been tucking in at his favourite seaside resort every weekday for the last ten years. And he has still managed to shed seven stone.

Together with wife Androniki, the retired restaurateur takes the bus on the 60-mile round trip from their home in Bristol to Weston-super-Mare.

The cat that can predict death

August 14th, 2008 by Co-Worker

Oscar was raised in the nursing home

The patient in the next room into which Oscar pokes his grey-and-white head is not so lucky. This time, Oscar weighs the situation carefully, then leaps on to the bed and curls up beside the woman lying in it.

A few moments later he is spotted, snuggled up there, by a passing nurse who immediately raises the alarm, not kick-starting a security alert to rid the ward of an unwanted intruder but a frenetic flurry of activity as medical records are fetched, a priest is called, and relatives are alerted to the likelihood of the patient’s imminent demise.

Because Oscar, as everyone in this nursing home is agreed, has special powers – more even than the doctors and palliative care specialists who come to tend to the terminally ill here.

For like a harbinger of bad news, Oscar is able to discern the exact moment at which the angel of death comes to stand at their bedside. It is an unusual skill, certainly. All the more so because Oscar is just a cat

Tanzanian With Albinism Gets New Arms

Persons with albinism, like 28-year-old single mother Mariamu Staford, are being hunted down and murdered; their bodies sold on the black market and used in witchdoctor potions, all because of a superstitious belief that the limbs of albinos possess special powers. Nearly 60 albinos have been murdered in the last three years. Both of Staford's arms were chopped off in the vicious attack, which left her unable to feed or clothe herself, or care for her young son. Staford comes to the United States with help from ABC News and gets fitted for a custom set of prosthetic limbs.
