Someone bidding for a yacht on the internet has just scored a Bonanza! – A warning to be careful to complete the ‘minimum price’ section when selling gear on the internet…
A Cologne court has ruled that a German man who accidentally sold his small yacht for €22.50 (US$30) in an online auction will have to go through with the transaction.
The owner of the five-figure ‘Jeanneau Sun Way 21′ yacht apparently neglected to set a minimum bid for the six-metre boat, which he’d hoped to sell for at least €12,000,(US$16,000 )court spokesman Hubertus Nolte told The Local on Friday.
The seller, from Porz on the Rhine River in Germany, tried to retract the boat from auction on the site, citing ‘technical problems’ and ‘errors’ on the website, but his claims didn’t float at the Cologne higher regional court.
‘The standard laws of business transactions also apply to internet auctions,’ Nolte said. ‘Now the seller must make good on his offer. He can’t say after the fact that he didn’t want to sell.’
The Queen was given a glimpse into the workings of Google when she visited the London offices of the search engine giant.
Accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh, the Queen was introduced to software engineers, senior managers, and a host of other staff that keep the world’s most popular internet search site running.
But when the royal party were shown a You Tube clip of a baby with an infectious laugh they were reduced to giggles by the footage.
The visit was celebrated by an image of the Queen being incorporated into Google’s UK homepage logo.
The “Google doodle”, which changes periodically to mark national holidays or anniversaries of major events, features a profile of the monarch and a crown just for today.
Nikesh Arora, president of Google Europe, Middle East and Africa, who showed the Queen around, said: “She did seem very very interested in everything going on.
“She has used YouTube and has her own Royal Channel and understands what our products are about.

I’m not really a chocoholic, but my, Guylian Belgian Chocolates might just make me one. My local supermarket was having a pre Christmas clearance a few days and were selling some items extra cheap. There was a pack of Guylian Belgian Chocolate Twists on offer so I though “What the heck, I’ll try them”. I couldn’t stop eating the darned things!

I sit in an office chair all day while at work and then again when I get home
to finish my work. Sitting in an office chair is not good for your lower back
or your legs. This is why you can now purchase an ergonomic kneeling chair
that will help with your posture and your back and leg pain.
Although, this chair may throw your friends and co-workers off due to the
unusual design of the chair, you will benefit from how comfortable the chair
actually is and how much less back pain you will have at the end of the day.
These ergonomic kneeling chairs are available at most office supply stores
such as Staples and may be purchased in store or online.
Since the chair is designed for a kneeling position, there will be slightly
more pressure on your knees, this is why the knee rest is fully padded. This
is the only complaint I have seen or heard about these chairs. The positive
side of the chair is that it has rollers so you can move it easily and the
back and leg pain is gone, even after just one day of use.
This chair helps with posture and pain. This is why everyone in the office
should have one. No more trying to get comfortable in a normal office chair.
If you are having to use a normal office chair be sure you are not using one
that is too firm or too soft.
If the chair is too firm you may not be able to find a comfortable sitting
position, making it harder for you to get work done since you are spending
more time fighting with the chair. If the chair is too soft you may feel the
urge to go to sleep. Thus, causing you to lose precious time you should have
had to get work done. Which in turn can cause you to lose your place of
employment.
Take time to try one of the ergonomic kneeling chair available, if you like
the chair, make the switch. If you disapprove of the chair simply go back to
your old office chair. I have used an ergonomic kneeling chair and really
enjoyed having it in my office. The less strain on my back the better it would
feel at the end of the day. Don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself.
